ILAG confirmation

In May 2023, various coatings from the ILAG portfolio were tested for total fluorine content and for the presence of relevant PFAS substances using the current technical analytical status of a globally renowned testing laboratory offering complete PFAS analysis.
ILAG follows the instructions and test proposals of the TUV Rheinland: https://go.tuv.com/pfas-testing

None of the tested substances were detectable (detection limits 3-100ppb). It was also confirmed that the total fluorine content was below the limit value.

It also shows compliance with all extisting legal PFAS limits:
- Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), its salts and PFOA-related compounds; Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 (POPs) for PFOA and its salts
- Perfluorooctanoic sulfonic acid (PFOS) and its derivatives; Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 (POPs) for PFOS and its derivatives
- Perfluorinated carboxylic acids (C9-C14-PFCA), their salts and C9-C14 PFCA related substances;
  Annex XVII Regulation (EG) Nr. 1907/2006 enty 68 (REACH) for C9-C14-PFCA, their salts and C9-C14-PFCA related substances

Accordingly, ILAG guarantees the non-use of fluoropolymers or other organic fluorinted substances (PFAS according to OECD definition 2021) for its registered product ranges advertised as PFAS-free.

The following ILAG product ranges have been tested and comply with the PFAS-free claim:

Furthermore, based on the knowledge available for us, we can confirm the PFAS-free claim for the following series:

Since PFAS are distributed worldwide and since not all downstream processes are under our control, it cannot be ruled out that PFAS traces may be detected in the final article due to possible contamination in the production, packaging and/or distribution process. Therefore, any liability in this regard must be excluded as a precaution.
